Revelations and 2012
We do not know of a single individual who wishes for the Earth to end. No one wishes for hell fire and brimstone to engulf the citizens of Earth. We all wish for mankind to unfold good and learn to practice what was taught in the Sermon on the Mount. In the past there have been prophecies of the end of times. In early twentieth century a group of Christians knew the world was coming to an end on a certain date in in the year 1916 and they went up, with the belongings they could carry and a little food, to the top of a small mountain in Colorado, there to wait the end. When the end did not arrive before their food gave out, they silently left and dissolved back into their respective communities. We don’t know what will happen this time, but it certainly is reasonable to make some sensible preparations, just in case.
Mayan Prophecy
The date 12/20/2012 is the end of the Mayan calendar. The Mayan people of Guatemala in Central America are descendants of the Olmecs, who traveled to Central America in approximately 250 A.D. Some say they came from Atlantis. Some say they came from Africa. Atlantis was supposed to have been located off the coast of Africa, so either origination is possible. The early Mayans were brilliant people who were not only excellent engineers and farmers, they were also mathematicians, and their uncanny knowledge of astronomy led to their phenomenal Mayan Calendar which was known as The Long Count. The last date recorded thereon is December 20, 2012, thus causing fear in many that this date brings the end of Earth, or will it?
Is 2012 the Beginning of Armaggedon
Armaggedon is the site of an epic battle associated with the prophecies of the religions arising from Father Abraham and thought by some to take place on Mt. Sinai. Some see the natural disasters taking place recently as the beginning of the last battle: for instance the eruption of the Icelandic volcano, the ongoing rumblings of our own Yellowstone, the 7 magnitude quakes taking place on the west coast of both Americas, the tsunamis and the rising tide of prophecies of global warming. Some scholars say that it is not just our own Earth that is heating up, but every planet in our solar system seems to be experiencing a definite rise in temperature. Aliens have been around for centuries based on ancient artwork showing living alien beings and their aircraft.
